Indie Comic Review: Fisticuffs 2 & 3
Fisticuffs isn't necessarily a superhero story. I mean, it is in that it deals with superpowers and heroes, and monsters... But that's mainly the vehicle to tell a much different kind of story. If you go into the issues expecting traditional superhero flair, you'll probably be disappointed. And that's kind of the point, the same way if you go into the television show Shameless looking for a hopeful character drama. Shameless isn't This Is Us the same way that Fisticuffs isn't

Indie Comic Review: The Champ
Art is an incredibly subjective medium, especially when it comes to comics. Art style can determine an almost infinite number of factors in regards to the reading experience. A very loose art style can give the story an amorphous feeling that can be hard to pin down. This tactic can be used to great effect to give the reader a sense of unease and wobbly footing. However, too loose a style can be hard to read and decipher. The trick is finding a nice balance between the two. C
